JACKSON, Miss. | The Alabama A&M Volleyball team (5-20, 3-10 SWAC) fell 3-1 to the Jackson State Tigers on Sunday afternoon.
AAMU saw four Bulldogs with at least five kills, led by Fatima Ramirez's nine terminations, with Saldy Amparo smith adding seven of her own. Both Saniya Spalding and Bailey Duckett contributed five kills to the match. Grace Tapscott picked up 15 assists, followed by 13 from Laela Price while Michell Jerez dug 10 balls from the floor.
JSU saw four Tigers in double figures paced by Alexis Williams' 15 kills and 11 digs. Naija Gadis added 30 assists, while Trinity Bryant dug a match high 21 balls. Hope Briggs led the front row defense, picking up four blocks on the afternoon.
The Bulldogs return to the court on Monday to face the Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils in Itta Bena at 6 p.m.
