MONTGOMERY, Ala. | The Alabama A&M University men's tennis team opened Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) play on Monday afternoon with a 4-0 victory over Southern at the Olean Black Underwood Tennis Center.
Alabama A&M (1-3 overall, 1-0 SWAC) picked up the doubles point with victories at No. 2 and No. 3.
The team of Chetanna Amadkike and
Yin Chih Lan defeated Gabriel Inyang and Jaiden Dominguez, 6-0, and
Kai Cowcher and
Freddie Lawrence won by default.
In singles action, the Bulldogs won at No. 5 and No. 6 by default, stretching the lead to 3-0.
AAMU sealed the victory at No. 4 as
Arnav Pathange defeated Dominguez, 6-0, 6-0.
