HUNTSVILLE, Ala. | Kai Cowcher and
Lebogang Mashego picked up a pair of singles wins on Wednesday afternoon, but it wasn't enough as the Alabama A&M University men's tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision to North Alabama at the AAMU Tennis Courts.
North Alabama (9-4) earned the doubles point by claiming victories at No. 1 and No. 2. The team of Arnarv Pathange and
Kai Cowcher defeated Birtan Duran and Whitman Davis, 6-1, at No. 2.
In singles play, Cowcher defeated Federico Scoutuzzi, 6-2, 7-6, at No. 5 and at No. 6, Mashego bested Davis, 5-4, before he retired in the first set.
The Lions completed the win with victories at No. 1, No. 2, No. 3 and No. 4.
