AAMU Ends Regular Season with 4-1 Loss

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. | The Alabama A&M University men's tennis team won the doubles point, but could not hold off UAB as the Blazers won four singles matches to claim a 4-1 victory on Saturday at the AAMU Tennis Courts.
 
Alabama A&M (6-11) jumped out to a 1-0 lead by winning the doubles point, claiming victories at No. 1 and No. 3.
 
At No. 1 doubles as the team of Freddie Lawrence and Vence N'Tcha defeated Parker Bradbary and Georgious Nouchakis, 6-2. The team of Kai Cowcher and Arnav Pathange beat Juan Pablo Valdez Guzon and Kaustubh Holcomb, 6-4. 
 
However, UAB (12-10) won the match by winning four singles matches, claiming victories at No. 1, No. 2, No. 4 and No. 5.
 
UP NEXT
Alabama A&M returns to action at the 2024 Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Men's Tennis Tournament next Saturday (April 20) in the semifinals. The Bulldogs are the second seed and will meet either Jackson State or Prairie View A&M at 1 p.m. at the City Park Tennis Center in New Orleans, La.
