THE HILL| Three Bulldogs finished in double figures in Alabama A&M's first home conference loss as they fell 75-65 to the Texas Southern Tigers. Senior Kalia Walker's paced the Bulldogs with 18 points while Alisha Wilson picked up her ninth double-double of the season with her 14 points and 11 rebounds and three steals.
Darian Burger added 10 points to the Bulldog tally while Jaiyah Harris-Smith led AAMU with eight assists. The Bulldogs cut the contest to just two after a 8-0 run with just over two minutes remaining in regulation, but the Tigers went on to score 10 points of their own to claim the game. Texas Southern now leads 21-15 in the overall series with the Bulldogs.
Courtlyn Loudermill finished with 16 points and four assists to lead the Tigers in their victory. Aaliyah Henderson added 14 points along with three rebounds while Aylasia Fantroy concluded with 13 points, seven rebounds and a game-high five steals. Jaeda Belton added 10 points of her own, while Daeja Holmes also picked up a team-high seven rebounds.

HOW IT HAPPENEDÂ
TSU was the first to earn points, scoring a pair of free throws
The contest tied at 7 all before the Bulldogs went on an 8-2 run to take a 15-9 lead with just over four minutes remaining in the frame.
AAMU scored a pair of layups but a tip-in from Daeja Holmes ended the stanza with the Bulldogs still ahead, 19-16
Texas Southern opened the second quarter with three straight points but Walker picked up six consecutive points of her own, including a shot from deep and a three-point play due to a foul drawn from a floater (26-19)Â
A jumper from Treasure Thompson leveled the contest at 30 with just under three minutes left in the halfÂ
The visiting team scored six straight points to end the half ahead of the hosts, 36-30Â
Alabama A&M entered the third frame refreshed, scoring five straight to get within one of the Tigers
Aylasia Fantroy scored on consecutive Tiger possessions to extend their lead to nine, with two minutes remaining in the frame (51-42)
Aniya Palmer scored four points and Harris-Smith added another, but Texas Southern finished the frame in the lead, 53-47
Texas Southern led by as many as 12 points in the early stages of the fourth quarter, but an 8-0 run, paced by a pair of shots beyond the arc from Walker brought the Bulldogs within two of the Tigers with two and a half minutes remaining in regulationÂ
The visiting team scored 10 points in two minutes to solidify their 75-65 victory.Â
