GRAMBLING, La. | The Alabama A&M University women's soccer team was less than a minute away from pulling off a huge road win, but a late goal by Grambling State forced a 2-2 tie in Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) play on Friday afternoon from the GSU Soccer Complex.

After a scoreless first 20 minutes of soccer, the Tigers (6-6-5 overall, 3-0-3 SWAC) broke the 0-0 tie as Taya Sands scored on an unassisted goal in the 21
st minute to give Grambling State a 1-0 lead.

But the lead was short-lived as
Anita Frederick-Sigaran scored the equalizer in the 22
nd minute, tying the game at 1 and
Moriah Watkins assisted on
Daniela Marroquin's goal in the 31
st minute as Alabama A&M (6-8-1, 3-2-1) grabbed a 2-1 advantage.

The Bulldogs held the lead until the final 39 seconds when Nyla Dore-Anderson assisted on Alana Aiken's goal, tying the game at 2.

- Jailyah Clark posted one save in 31 minutes and Kaia Bace added two saves over the next 59 minutes for GSU
