Czaske Deane and senior defender
Daniela Marroquin were selected the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Women's Soccer co-Offensive and co-Defensive Players of the Week, the conference announced on Wednesday.
Deane had another big weekend for the Maroon & White, accounting for a team-high seven points in games against Grambling State and Arkansas-Pine Bluff. She logged 122 minutes and recorded a hat trick, along with an assist, in a 4-0 win over the Golden Lions on Sunday.
Marroquin secured the back line as she helped the Bulldogs to a draw at Grambling State, followed by a shutout victory over Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Sunday. She played 179 minutes in the two matches and registered a goal at GSU.
Sharing the co-Offensive Player of the Week honors with Deane was Grambling State's Alana Aiken, while the Tigers' Taya Sands shared the defensive accolades with Marroquin. Sands also earned Newcomer of the Week and Kaia Bace was named Goalkeeper of the Week.
Alabama A&M closes out the regular season on Friday with Senior Day against rival Alabama State. Kickoff is scheduled for 3 p.m. from the Bulldog Soccer Field and streamed on Bulldogs All-Access.
