THE HILL | The Alabama A&M University football team received votes in both the Stats Perform FCS Top 25 Poll and the AFCA FCS Coaches Poll on Monday, earning national recognition following Saturday's 61-31 Homecoming victory over Grambling State.

The Bulldogs improved to 6-2 overall and 3-1 in Southwestern Athletic Conference play with the victory at Louis Crews Stadium. AAMU generated 669 yards of total offense, including a 417-yard, five-touchdown passing performance from Cornelious Brown IV. Jaylan Bean caught 10 passes for 240 yards and four touchdowns.

Alabama A&M's inclusion among teams receiving votes in both polls adds national attention as the Bulldogs prepare for the final stretch of their conference schedule.

Following an open week, AAMU faces Alabama State in the 85th Amazon Magic City Classic presented by Coca-Cola on Oct. 31 at Legion Field in Birmingham. Kickoff is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. on ESPN+.
