MONTGOMARY, Ala. | The Alabama A&M men's tennis team continued its strong conference run with a 4-1 victory over Alcorn State on Sunday.
Alabama A&M leaned on a dominant performance in singles play to secure the win, remaining undefeated in conference action.
The Bulldogs battled in doubles competition, earning a key win at No. 2 as Yin Chih Lan and Juwan Bae posted a 6-2 victory. However, Alcorn claimed the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 3 to take an early 1-0 lead.
Alabama A&M quickly shifted momentum in singles, winning four completed matches across the lineup. Yin Chih Lan led the charge with a straight-set victory at No. 2 singles (6-1, 6-4), while Juwan Bae followed with a dominant (6-3, 6-0) win at No. 4.
Eduardo de Andreta Benedictis added another point with a commanding (6-0, 6-4) win at No. 5, and Goran Krivokapic sealed the match with a strong (6-3, 6-1) victory at No. 6 singles.
With multiple matches left unfinished, the Bulldogs' depth in singles proved to be the difference as they secured their fourth consecutive SWAC win.
