HUNTSVILLE, Ala. | Tickets are now on sale for Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum recording artist and R&B legend Johnny Gill's performance during Alabama A&M University's Louis Crews Classic Weekend.
 
Gill will take the stage at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 4, with the doors opening at 6 p.m., at the AAMU Event Center.
 
Individual tickets are $80, while reserved tables are available for $1,000. Fans can purchase tickets through Hometown Ticketing at aamusports.com or by calling the Alabama A&M Ticket Office at 256-372-7255 or 256-372-7254.

"Louis Crews Classic Weekend celebrates Bulldog pride, HBCU culture and our strong connection with the community. Johnny Gill's performance will make this year's celebration even more special for our alumni, students, fans and supporters."
 
Gill has established himself as one of the most accomplished voices in R&B during a career spanning more than four decades. The successful solo artist and member of the iconic group New Edition has recorded multiple No. 1 hits while also performing as part of the supergroups L.S.G. and Heads of State.
 
His most recent single, "One Night," reached No. 1 on Billboard's Adult R&B Airplay chart in February 2026, marking the fourth Billboard No. 1 of his solo career.
 
Gill is widely recognized for timeless hits such as "Rub You the Right Way," "My, My, My," "Let's Get the Mood Right" and "This One's for Me and You." He is one of the few performers to achieve No. 1 hits as a solo artist, in a duo and as a member of multiple groups.
 
Louis Crews Classic Weekend annually welcomes thousands of Alabama A&M alumni, students and fans back to "The Hill" for a celebration featuring university traditions, entertainment and Bulldog football.
 
Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets early because seating is limited.
