NASHVILLE, Tenn. | The Alabama A&M University men's cross country team began its season on Tuesday morning and finished fifth at the Vanderbilt Opener at Percy Warner Park.
The Bulldogs grabbed 148 points to claim the fifth spot as Lipscomb won the meet with 25 points. Belmont placed second with 30 points, followed by Vanderbilt (75 points) and Tennessee State (123 points).
Micah Harris led Alabama A&M with a 35
th-place finish, crossing the line in 18:12.30, while
Xavier Turner was 37
th, with a time of 18:18.71.
Caleb Roberts (18:58.90) and
Zachary Cooper (19:13.02) finished 41
st or 42
nd, respectively.
Corey Harris rounded out the individual scoring, crossing the line in 20:53.51 to finish 44
th.
