"Niya" played soccer and basketball in high school and was a nominee for McDonald's All-American.
She said her goal is succeeding "to my full potential, not only academically or in athletics, but in everything I do."
Niya chose Alabama A&M to not only become a part of something new, but to also achieve greatness and when AAMU is talked about, "that we are spoken highly of."
Her favorite TV shows are "Fresh Prince of Bel Air," "Spongebob," "American Dad" and "Boondocks."
Niya's favorite female player is Candice Parker.
