Photo Gallery - Desmond Jackson woke from a shooting slump just in time to lead Alabama A&M to a comeback 66-64 victory over Grambling the Bulldogs' SWAC opener Saturday. Jackson scored 15 points, and hit the go-ahead three-pointer with 0:26 remaining in the game. Alabama A&M trailed for much of the game, but rallied to move to 3-6 on the season. Cornelius Hester led A&M with 16 points on a night when leading scorer Trant Simpson scored just two points.
Grambling controled the game tempo until late building a 37-30 halftime lead on 48.5 percent shooting in the first 20 minutes. Alabama A&M hit just 27.8 percent in the first half. The Tigers also maintained a 49-42 rebound advantage for the game.
The difference in the game came from the free throw line where A&M held a 21-8 gap over the Tigers for the game. Kudus Ogbara grabbed nine rebounds in his season debut for A&M.
Andrew Prestly led Grambling with 15 points, and Ibrahim Kpaka had 12.
The Bulldogs will host Jackson State on Monday at 7:30 p.m.
