Box Score / Alabama A&M rallied for a 3-2 victory over Jackson State after dropping the first two sets. Clarissa Moore tied Phyllis Hetie's school record for kills in a match with 32. The win, which is A&M's fourth straight, moves the Bulldogs to 4-0 in the SWAC and 12-11 overall. Jackson State fall to 2-1 in the SWAC. The Bulldogs will travel to Montgomery, Ala. to face Alabama State on Oct. 27 beginning at 7 p.m.
Moore went an impressive 32-for-65 to finish with a .431 hitting clip. Madinah Abdullah had a well-rounded game with 12 kills and 11 digs. Natalie Rodriguez assisted on 61 of A&M's 69 kills. Rose Corneille led the Bulldog's defensive effort with 29 digs.
For Southern, Ebonee Dawson and Brittany Larkin had 21 kills apiece. LaToya Clark had 61 assists, while Whitney Nowlin and Daedra Carline had 20 and 19 digs, respectively.
The Bulldogs will play at Alabama State on Oct. 27. The game is slated for 7 p.m.
