Bulldogs Capture Seventh Straight Win In Front of Nationally Televised Audience

A&M defeated Jackson State, 3-1 on ESPNU

The Alabama A&M volleyball team captured its seventh straight win on Tues. night against Jackson State with a four-set decision on ESPNU. The Bulldogs are currently riding an undefeated 6-0 conference streak. With the win, A&M captured the number one seed in the Eastern Division of the SWAC. The Bulldogs are back in Elmore Gym on Thurs. as they host Alabama State beginning at 7 p.m.

AAMU defeated the Tigers in four sets (25-21, 12-25, 25-22, 25-22) with Clarissa Moore leading the attack. Moore finished with 15 kills, six digs, and four total blocks. Madinah Abdullah and Karensa Beckford had 12 and 11 kills, respectively. The Bulldog defensive was strong, with Rose Corneille finishing with a game-high 17 digs. Natalie Rodriguez and Abdullah both had 11 digs, while Beckford recorded 10. Rodriguez had 41 of A&M's 45 assists.

The Bulldogs will host Alabama State on Thurs. Nov. 5. The game is slated to start at 7 p.m.
