Bulldogs Sweep Braves for First SWAC Win

A&M starts quest for SWAC title

Box Score / The Alabama A&M volleyball team swept the Alcorn State Braves 3-0 at T.M. Elmore Gym on Tues. Sept. 29. This marks the first SWAC win for the Bulldogs, and improves them to 6-9 overall on the season. A&M will take a break in conference play and travel to Indianapolis to face Butler on Fri. Oct. 2. The game is slated for 7:30 p.m.

Senior Lydia Adeosun led the Bulldog attack, going 11-for-14 to finish with a .571 hitting percentage. Madinah Abdullah and Clarissa Moore added eight kills apeice. Rose Coreneille led the A&M defense with 12 digs. Natalie Rodriguez assisted on 30-of-32 total Bulldog kills for the game. As a team, A&M finished with a .438 hitting percentage.
 
For the Braves, Brittany Watts and Donna Kelly had four kills each. Alcorn finished with a -.032 hitting percentage.
