NORMAL -The Alabama A&M volleyball team proved to be too much for the Hornets of Alabama State University, cruising to a 3-0 victory Tuesday evening. A&M took the win by scores of 26-24, 25-17 and 25-18.
Karensa Beckford led A&M with a game-high 13 kills while Clarissa Moore added 10. Ashley Forman led the Maroon & White with 26 assists. Defensive specialist Rose Corneille collected 13 digs, to lead all players.
A&M improved to 10-10 overall & 5-1 in the Southwestern Athletic Conference.
ASU, who was paced by nine kills from Asia Manning, slips to 11-16 overall; 3-3 in conference play.
The Lady Bulldogs travel to Albany, Georgia to take on Albany State on Monday, November 1, for a 6 p.m. match.
