NORMAL - The three-time defending SWAC champion Alabama A&M volleyball team will hold their annual Dig Pink event in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month. The Lady Bulldogs will host conference rival Jackson State University in their first SWAC home contest being held at Elmore Gymnasium at 6 p.m. on Friday, October 8.
A&M (6-8, 1-0 SWAC) is coming off a 3-1 loss to Troy University in their first of three straight home games. Clarissa Moore led the Maroon & White with nine kills while Rose Corneille recorded 19 digs.
The Lady Tigers have won eight out of their last 10 matches and are currently on an eight game winning streak.
Dig Pink is a nation wide campaign in the volleyball world that raises money for breast cancer. This game is very important to head coach Nedra Brown and the current SWAC champions because they want to raise awareness and celebrate survivors of breast cancer. The Alabama A&M volleyball team is asking everyone to support with monetary donations as well as attendance to tomorrow nights event.
The game is free and open to the public.
