A&M Basketball on the Road Tonight

NORMAL - For the first time this season, the road is calling for the Alabama A&M University basketball teams.

The A&M Bulldogs (1-0) hit the road at Western Kentucky in Bowling Green, KY; tip-off is set for 7p.m., while the A&M Lady Bulldogs (0-0) opens the season at Tennessee Tech tonight. Tip-off is also set for 7 p.m.

Both squads passed early tests on their home turf. The Lady Bulldogs defeated the University of North Alabama 64-58 for an exhibition win on last Thursday.  Junior Whiquitta Tobar scored 17 points and freshman Jasmine Sanders had 12.


The Bulldogs opened the 2010-11 season, head coach Vann Pettaway’s 24th, with a 93-77 win over Talladega College Saturday night.  A&M was led by junior guard Casey Cantey, who scored 22 points and pulled in seven boards.
