A&M Dominates Grambling on Senior Night

Box Score / Evan Hilton tallied eight points and three rebounds in his final game at Elmore Gym as the Bulldogs dominated Grambling, 81-60, on Sat. March 6. This is the team's second widest margin of victory this season. Cornelius Hester led A&M with 18 points, including a 4-for-8 mark from behind the arc. The Bulldogs finish the season 11-15 overall and 8-10 in the SWAC. A&M is the No. 6 seed heading into post-season play and will face Alabama State in the opening round of the SWAC Tournament on March 11 beginning at 2:30 p.m. in Shreveport, La.

The Bulldogs rattled off 11 straight points to close the first half and head into the lockerroom with a comfortable 41-27 cushion, and never looked back. Casey Cantey was a rebound shy of a double-double with 17 points and nine boards, while also dishing out six assists. Marcus Lee tallied 11 points behind 3-of-5 shooting from the field. Bo Amusa finished with 10 points, nine rebounds, and two blocks.

As a team, the Bulldogs shot 45.5 percent from the field (25-for-55), while holding Grambling to 33.3 percent shooting (20-of-60). A&M also converted 14 Tiger turnovers into 20 points.

For Grambling, Kevin Loyd had a team-high 10 points.

A&M is the No. 6 seed heading into post-season play and will face Alabama State in the opening round of the SWAC Tournament on March 11 beginning at 2:30 p.m. in Shreveport, La.
