Volleyball Falls To Jackson State

NORMAL - The A&M Volleyball team took on SWAC Eastern Division foe Jackson State, but fell three games to two on Friday night.
Clarissa Moore had a solid game for the Lady Bulldogs with 19 kills, five digs, and three service aces.

Karensa Beckford had 17 kills for A&M. Mariah Brown chipped in with eight kills. Ashley Forman dished out 33 of the Bulldogs' 44 assists. Audrey Harris had eight digs to lead the Bulldog defense.

A&M took the first set 25-23, but the Lady Tigers came back with a 26-16 win in the second set. The Tigers took the third set 25-15, however the Lady Bulldogs forced a game five by winning the fourth set 25-19. In the fifth the Lady Tigers took control of the game and won 15-5.

For Jackson State, Christine Edwards went 24 for 46 to lead the Tigers for a match high. Chyna Coleman had 20 kills while Donisha Dunn chipped in with 10. LaToya Clark dished out a match-high 54 assists.
A&M will travel to Montgomery, AL, on Tuesday, Oct. 19, to take on Alabama State University beginning at 7 p.m.
