Box Score MEMPHIS - The Panthers jumped out to a 14-2 lead in the opening set of Saturday's first match and never looked back against Alabama A&M. GSU took the opening frame, 25-10, taking advantage of 10 Bulldog errors.
In set two, the Panthers took another early lead and used six kills by Vineece Verdun and four from Muki Kangwa to win 25-18 and take a two-set lead.
It was more of the same in the third set as the Panthers opened up an 11-3 cushion, then withstood a late Bulldogs rally to pull out the clinching set, 25-19.
Kangwa finished with 10 kills and four digs to help keep the Panthers undefeated on the young season.
