Normal- October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and this year it holds a special significance to the A&M women’s soccer team and the Bulldog athletic family.
This month the women’s soccer team invites all of the Bulldog fans to help raise awareness. Just last week one of A&M's own, Ms.Jazzmine Maclin was diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent surgery to remove the disease. Maclin was a part of both the 2010 and 2011 women’s soccer program.
The Maroon and White soccer team will host a series of events the week of October 12th to raise awareness and rally Jazzmine to stay positive in her fight against cancer.
The Lady Bulldogs will culminate their support on October 12thwhen the play Grambling State University in their Breast Cancer Awareness contest at 3:00 pm. Prior to the game, A&M will begin their support for Jazzmine by selling $10 Kick Cancer t-shirts at the beginning of the week. The Maroon and White will also host special fund-raiser called "Make a Lap for Jazzmine". For $1, fans can show support by joining the one-lap walk around the soccer field during half time of the game.
All proceeds will be donated to the Cancer Society in the name of Jazzmine Maclin. Please help the women’s soccer team raise awareness and support one of our own.
