Bulldog Volleyball to challenge UAB

NORMAL– The Alabama A&M volleyball team will head south on I-65, on Tuesday, Oct. 8th, to Birmingham, Ala. to challenge the University of Alabama-Birmingham Blazers. The Lady Bulldogs are on their second trip of a five game road skid for the month of October.

First volley is schedule for 7 p.m. as the Lady Bulldogs look to extend their four game winning streak.
 
In last week’s victory over Albany State, Clarissa Moore recorded a game-high 22 kills while Leslie Ekpe followed with 11. Freshman Rebecca Cortez finished with a team high eight digs.
 
The Lady Bulldogs lone setter, Ashley Forman, finished with a career high 55 assists.
Head coach Nedra Brown’s top three players are ranked first in three different categories in the Southwestern Athletic Conference.

Richardson leads the league in hitting percentage with .297. Moore leads in kills while Forman leads in assists. As a team the Maroon and White leads the conference in hitting percentage and is second in assists and kills.
