Lady Bulldogs beat Praire View to Advance to SWAC Championship Match

Jackson, Ms- The Alabama A&M women's volleyball team defeated Prairie View A&M University in straight sets to advance into the 2012 SWAC championship match.

This is the sixth straight tournament championship game for the Lady Bulldogs. Head Coach Nedra Brown has advanced to the championship game in each of her six years at Alabama A&M.

The Lady Bulldogs will play Jackson State University, who they have yet to beat in the 2012 season. JSU won both regular season meetings this year (3-1, 3-2). A&M will look to beat the Lady Tigers for the first time since being defeated in the 2011 SWAC championship match. The loss to JSU in last year snapped a four-year championship win streak held by the Maroon & White.

A&M will look to regain their crown, today at 3:00 p.m. in the Lee E. Williams Athletics & Assembly Center on the campus of Jackson State University.
