Bulldog tennis to host in-state rival Alabama State on “The Hill”

NORMAL – The Alabama A&M men’s and women’s tennis teams will host Alabama State University on “The Hill” on Friday, April 12^th beginning at 11:30 a.m. on the tennis courts across from Elmore Gymnasium.

The women’s squad is currently 7-11 on the year with a 3-3 conference mark. After two East/West roundups the Lady Bulldogs stand in sixth place in the Southwestern Athletic Conference.

A&M defeated the Lady Hornets twice in their two previous meeting earlier in the year. Fridays match will give the Maroon & White a chance to sweep ASU.

The Bulldogs split with the Hornets 4-3 in both matches during the 2012 year. A&M sits in fifth place in the league and looks to finish their home portion of the schedule with a victory in Fridays match. The men’s tennis team is 3-8 overall and 2-4 in the SWAC.

Admission is free for the non-conference contest.
