A&M Volleyball swept in Day Two of Belmont Invitational

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2

NORMAL – The Alabama A&M volleyball team did not start the 2012 season as they would have liked falling in six straight games to TCU and Northern Colorado today.

In the first contest, Saturday afternoon, transfer Bianca Richardson posted six kills and two solo blocks, while senior Clarissa Moore lead all Lady Bulldogs with seven kills and a .156 hitting percentage.

A&M did not record double digit kills as a team in any of the three matches played versus Texas Christian University.

Junior setter Ashley Forman connected on 17 assists and 15 digs for her first double double of the year.

In the second match it was more of the same as Northern Colorado used their three six footers on the front line to stop the Maroon & White offensive attack.

Senior Mariah Brown collected 11 digs while Forman totaled 17 assists.  Once again Moore led the offense for A&M with nine kills on 23 attacks for a .174 average.

The next opportunity for the Lady Bulldogs to earn their first win will be Tuesday, Aug. 28 at 7 p.m. versus the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa.
