A&M Soccer falls 5-0 to Jacksonville State

NORMAL—The Lady Bulldog soccer team fell in their home opener, 5-0 to Jacksonville State University on Sunday, Aug. 26.

The Maroon & White fell behind in the fourth minute of play after a goal by Austen Stoelting of the Gamecocks. The home team would end up allowing two more goals as the first 45 minutes of action ended.

In the second half A&M picked up their intensity and pressure. They managed to get off four shots and record 11 saves. Unfortunately the defense was not up to par as A&M allowed two more goals for their fourth straight defeat.

In the first four games of the 2012 season AAMU has been outscored 39-0 and has only attempted 20 shots with eight on goal.

The Lady Bulldogs will return to action Friday, Aug. 31^stwhen they travel to the Peach State to challenge Mercer University to a 7 p.m. contest.
