Volleyball looks to stay undefeated at home when they welcome Mississippi Valley to “The Hill”

NORMAL – The Alabama A&M volleyball team will look to remain undefeated when they welcome the Devilettes of Mississippi Valley State University on Monday, Oct. 1st.

The Lady Bulldogs win streak will be challenged at the T. M. Elmore gymnasium at 7 p.m. as the Devilettes have not defeated A&M in over four years.

Leading the way for AAMU is senior Clarissa Moore who has 212 kills and is averaging 3.75 per game.  Junior Ashley

Forman leads the team with 488 assists averaging 8.41.  In the blocks category A&M has 6-2 middle blocker Bianca Richardson averaging .47 a game and has 33 in the year.  Freshman Rebecca Cortez leads the team in digs with 153 at the libero position.

Head coach Nedra Brown’s top three players are ranked first in three different categories in the Southwestern Athletic Conference. Richardson leads the league in hitting percentage with a .295; Moore leads in kills while Forman leads in assists.

Valley has a 3-7 overall record and is riding a two game win streak into Huntsville.
