Volleyball on the road

NORMAL - Volleyball will head south to Albany, GA on Tuesday, Oct. 22, to face Albany State University in a non-conference volleyball match at 6 p.m.

The Lady Bulldogs are currently on a two-game losing streak and looking for their third road win of the season. The Maroon and White are 2-7 away from Elmore and seek to break their losing ways.

Leading the way for AAMU is junior Leslie Ekpe who has 140 kills and is averaging 2.68 per game. Senior Ashley Forman leads the team with 513 assists averaging 7.54 a game.

In the blocks category, A&M's 6-2 middle blocker, Ashundria McNeal averages .63 a game and has 43 on the season. Rebecca Cortez leads the team in digs with 179 at the libero position.

Head Coach Nedra Brown's top three players, Ekpe, Forman, and Cortez are ranked first in three different categories in the Southwestern Athletic Conference (kills, assists, and digs).

In their last victory A&M swept the Devilettes of Mississippi Valley, winning in three games.
