A&M Volleyball Defeats Albany State, 3-1

NORMAL - Albany State took A&M to four sets, however the defense of the Lady Bulldogs was enough to defeat the Lady Rams three games to one.

Leslie Ekpe and Kyanna Sales each led in double figures with 13 apiece. Ekpe totaled 25 attacks and accomplished a hitting percentage of .320. Sales recorded a double digit night with 10 digs.

The first set saw the Lady Bulldogs in complete control until the second match. The Blue and Gold took a commanding lead 9-3. Both teams went back and forth until ASU extended the lead to 19-9. Albany would eventually take the second set 25-15.

The fourth set saw the Lady Bulldogs cranked up their defense to block Albany's attempts at the net. ASU then loss its composure and fell in the fourth set 25-17.

AAMU out-blocked Albany State University 13 to nine in four games.
As a team, the Lady Bulldogs ended with a .374 hitting percentage. A&M improves to 6-19. ASU falls to 13-10 on the season.

Up next the Lady Bulldogs will host the Devilettes of Mississippi Valley State University on Thursday, November 14, in the T.M. Elmore Gymnasium with first volley set for 5 p.m.
