A&M to close out year at Kennesaw

Normal- The women's basketball team is set to close out the 2013 portion of their season at Kennesaw State University, in Kennesaw, GA on December 29, at 2 p.m. versus the Owls.

Saturday's action will close out this year's play and the non-conference schedule for both programs. This will be the last chance for the Maroon & White to iron out any kinks prior to the start of Southwestern Athletic Conference play that will begin in Jackson, Miss. on January 4.

The 2-7 Bulldogs squad will travel to the "Peach State" to take on a 1-9 Owls squad. The host team will enter action coming off an eight game losing streak, with the last defeat of 78-61 coming by way of Columbia University. While the visiting A&M team will enter the contest after an 81-51, loss to La. Tech snapped their two-game win streak.

The Owls will look to their point and rebound leader, Kristina Wells (12.9, 6.1) to lead the charge versus the Bulldogs, while the Maroon & White will look to their leaders, Brittany Strickland (14.1 ppg), and Jasmine Sanders (10.1 ppg, 7.0 rpg) to do the same against the Owls.
