Women's Basketball set for Georgia Tech

NORMAL -- Coming off a restful holiday break, Alabama A&M women's basketball (0-5) heads to Atlanta, Georgia to face the Yellow Jackets of Georgia Tech (4-2) on Saturday, Dec. 7. Tip-off is scheduled for 4:30 p.m., in the McCamish Pavilion.

A&M will be playing their third game on the road. The Maroon and White most recently suffered an 82-65 setback at East Tennessee State last Friday.

Brittney Strickland led A&M for the second-straight game, scoring 22 points, while senior Jasmine Sanders added 14. Alganese Gatson grabbed a team-high nine boards.

The Yellow Jackets defeated McNeese State 69-60, to capture the LIU Turkey Classic title, in Brooklyn NY, in their last outing.

After leading the Jackets in scoring for the second-straight contest, senior Tyaunna Marshall was named the LIU Turkey Classic MVP. Marshall scored 20 points against the Cowgirls and recorded a season-high 21 points in the semifinal game against Southern Utah.
