Tennis to play two weekend matches in Montgomery

Normal- The Alabama A&M tennis teams will head to Montgomery, Alabama to play two games. Both contests will be played at the Olean Black Underwood Tennis Center.

First, the Bulldogs will take on conference rival, the Hornets of Alabama State University. The Maroon & White women (1-6), will take on the 2-8 Lady Hornets for the second time this season. A&M was victorious in the first meeting, winning the contest 4-2 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

The Bulldog men, still searching for a win at 0-5 will also face the Hornets.

The ASU men currently sit a 4-6 and have already defeated the Maroon & White in the 2013 season. A&M fell 5-1 to the Hornets during the West SWAC Round-Up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

The contest versus the Hornets will take place Friday, March 8^th and will begin at 1:30 p.m.

The Bulldog tennis teams will also play the Trojans of Troy University this weekend, Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m. The men of Troy sit a 3-6 coming off two straight victories and the women stand at 7-4 having won three straight.

This is the second trip to Montgomery, Ala. for the teams, but the first in which they will play rival Alabama State.
