Tennis starts anew at SWAC Tournament

Normal- After completing the 2013 regular season, the Alabama A&M tennis teams will see action again at the Southwestern Athletic Conference Championship Tournament in New Orleans, Louisiana this weekend.

The Maroon & White women finished 2013 with a 3-13 overall record, and a 2-3 league mark during the two conference round-ups and will open tournament play at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, April 19^th. With their sights set on the SWAC Championship, the fifth seed Maroon & White will take on third seed Jackson State.

The men will look to start anew during the SWAC tournament, which they begin at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 19^th in New Orleans, Louisiana.

The Bulldogs had a rough season in which they remained winless at 0-13. A&M earned the sixth seed in the tournament with a 0-5 conference mark.

As the sixth seed, A&M will take on fourth seeded Alabama State to open the men’s section of tournament play at 1:00 p.m.
