Mobile - On a warm and humidity filled afternoon the Lady Bulldogs were defeated 11-0 by the Jaguars of South Alabama.
The game started with great energy from both teams. It was clear after the first five minutes of play that this would be a physical contest, as both teams made a point to establish their physical presence early.
The Maroon & White had a short spell of dominating possession at the beginning of the 45-minute period. From this possession, A&M had a positive presence in the attacking third of play.
By the end of the first half, the Lady Bulldogs took a 3-0 deficit into the break, with two of the three USA Jaguar goals coming off pure hustle. The shot chart leaned in USA's favor as they outshot the Maroon & White 19-2 prior to the break.
The second half seemed to be a different game. The Lady Bulldogs found themselves marching to the center circle for a restart after just three minutes in the second half after giving up goal four of the match.
The heat and short bench proved too much to handle. At the end of the 90-minute competition, the Maroon & White found themselves on the losing end of an 11-0 match. The Jaguars outshot A&M 31-4 in the second half and 50-6 for the game.
The 0-8 Lady Bulldogs will return to action on Friday, September 20 when they travel to Murfreesboro, Tenn. to take on the MTSU Blue Raiders at 7:00 p.m.
