Tennis Travels to Face Auburn

Normal - The Bulldogs men's and women's tennis teams will travel south to face Auburn University in a non-conference matchup on Saturday, February 1^st.

The Maroon & White men's team (0-1) is still looking for their first win after an extremely challenging opening week. The women's squad will be participating in their season opener.

The weather in Alabama this week has not been favorable to playing tennis, but that will not stop the Bulldogs when they travel to face the ranked opponent.

"With lack of practice due to weather conditions, I still look for my players to improve & play better this week "Mbandi said.

Newcomer Farai Chiridza who is battling a nagging leg injury, looks to bounce back after a close battle against the University of Alabama last week.

Making her collegiate debut, freshman Orianna Rodriguez will look to be competitive against the 23^rd ranked Auburn.

"I look for my freshman to be a big surprise, she has practiced very well and looks like she will be in the mix" Mbandi mentioned.

The match will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the Tigers tennis courts.
