Bulldog tennis set for busy weekend

NORMAL -- The Maroon & White tennis programs will be back in action on Friday, Feb. 7, and Saturday Feb. 8, when they travel to Montgomery, Ala. and West Point, Ga.

The men's squad will challenge Troy University and Point University while the women will face Georgia Southern, Savannah State and Point University.

The Bulldogs were competitive in their first two matches against top 40 ranked opponents Alabama & Auburn. They will be looking to surprise the winless Trojans after great and spirited practices over the week. Point University is also winless as the fell in their season opener against Stillman College.

Meanwhile, the Lady Bulldogs look to open their season in winning style.
The women's tennis team enters the weekend looking to build off intensity and effort at practice as they match up against Georgia Southern, Point University and Savannah State.

Georgia Southern is 1-0 on the year after a cancelled match versus Stetson University and a 7-0 sweep of Presbyterian College. Savannah State comes in with a 0-1 record after falling 7-0 to Presbyterian College. Point is winless as well after a 9-0 loss versus Stillman College.
