Sesay scores but Lady Bulldogs fall at ETSU

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. -- Margret Sesay scored her first goal in two years but the Lady Bulldogs lost 3-1 Friday at East Tennessee State.

Sesay was the 2014 SWAC co-Freshman of the Year and led Alabama A&M with eight goals that season.

Sesay's goal came in the 23rd minute when she took a pass from Iris Torres about 8 yards from the goal and put a one touch past the ETSU goalkeeper. Fatmata Mansaray set up the play and the score cut the Bucs' lead to 2-1.

A&M goalkeeper Alexandra Desgagne had five saves on eight shots on goal as ETSU fired 16 shots. The Lady Bulldogs had seven shots with four on goal.

The Lady Bulldogs travel to Asheville, N.C., Sunday to face UNC-Asheville in a 1 p.m. (Eastern) match.
