Bulldogs come up short at UAPB

PINE BLUFF, Ark. -- A cold-shooting second half for the Bulldogs proved the difference Monday in an 81-65 loss to Arkansas-Pine Bluff.

A&M made just eight of 21 shots from the field in the final 20 minutes after trailing 37-34 at the half; the Bulldogs shot 50 percent in the first half.

For the Bulldogs, Quinterian McConico had a game-high 19 points - but he was the lone A&M player to reach double figures. He made five of the Bulldogs' eight second-half baskets.

A&M's Rakiya Battle dished out five assists and Mohamed Sherif had a game-high eight rebounds.

The Bulldogs return to action Saturday when Alabama State visits Elmore Gym. Tipoff is 5 p.m.
