BULLDOGS TO PARTICIPATE IN BARCLAYS CENTER CLASSIC

NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, NY---The Bulldogs will take on Niagara University Friday to open the Barclays Center Classic Campus Round. Joining A&M and the host Niagara are Western Carolina and UT Arlington.

The Purple Eagles will host the campus site portion of the tournament from Nov. 24-25. The Bulldogs and Niagara play at 3 p.m. (Central) Friday, followed by Western Carolina and UT Arlington at 6 p.m. On Nov. 25, the consolation and championship games will be played.

ALABAMA A&M vs. NIAGARA UNIVERSITY: This is the first meeting between the two programs.

LAST TIME OUT: Mohamed Sherif led the Bulldogs with 10 points while adding five rebounds on Nov. 22 against Minnesota. Jalen Reeder added nine points, three rebounds, two assists and one steal. De'Ederick Petty and Evan Wiley each added eight points respectively. Wiley went 2-for-2 from the free throw line, 2-for-4 in the paint and 2-for-3 from behind the arc.

ABOUT ALABAMA A&M: The Bulldogs are shooting 63.0% from the charity stripe and 40.0% from the three-point line. Junior Arthur Jonson leads the Bulldogs with 12.8 points-per-game average and is second on the team with 5.5 rebounds-per-game. Junior Andre Kennedy leads the Bulldogs with 6.0 rebound.

ABOUT NIAGARA UNIVERSITY: Niagara is coming off 95-88 loss against Brigham Young University on Nov. 21. Matt Scott led the Purple Eagles with a career-high 36 points and added seven rebounds and three steals. Kahlil Dukes scored 20 points while Chris Barton added 10 points. Marvin Prochet added eight rebounds for the Purple Eagles.
