HUNTSVILLE--- The Alabama A&M University men's basketball team opens their home schedule against Georgia State for a non-conference game on Wednesday, Nov. 29 at 7 p.m. in Elmore Gym.

This marks the fourth time the Panthers and Alabama A&M meet with the Panthers holding a 3-0 series lead.

The Bulldogs (0-6 overall) have started the 2017-18 season with six straight road games. They have seen matches against Ohio, Samford, Alabama, Minnesota, Niagara and Western Carolina.

Alabama A&M enters the match after a 82-72 loss against Western Carolina Nov. 25. Arthur Johnson led with 18 points for AAMU and he also finished with four rebounds and one assist.

The Maroon and White also received 15 points and eight rebounds from Evan Wiley. De'Ederick Petty contributed 11 points, four rebounds and four assists for the Bulldogs. Amari Goulbourne and Marcus Merriweather each added seven points, respectively.

Johnson guides the team with 15.0 per game and gathers 5.7 rebounds per game. Petty drops in 12.8 points per game and Kennedy adds 7.7 points per game and leads the team with 5.8 rebounds per game.

The Panthers (4-2) are coming off a home victory, 70-59, against previously unbeaten Tulane on Sunday. Malik Benlevi led Georgia State with 17 points and 10 rebounds. D'Marcus Simonds added 16 points, four assists and three rebounds. Simonds enters Wednesday's game leading the Panthers offensively with 19.0 points, 5.2 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game. Jordan Session also contributed 15 points and 10 rebounds for the Panthers.
