Women’s Basketball Closes Out Non-Conference Slate Friday against Lipscomb

NASHVILLE, Tenn.--- Alabama A&M women's basketball concludes the non-conference portion of its schedule on the road Friday, Dec. 29 against Lipscomb. ABOUT THE LADY BULLDOGS :
The Lady Bulldogs head into the matchup 5-5 overall after defeating Southeastern Louisiana 76-74 on the road Dec. 21. Lauren McKee led for A&M with 17 points, which included five three-pointers. McKee also led the team with six assists. Nigeria Jones added 15 points while Ashlyn Dotson totaled 13 points on the day and led the team with eight rebounds.

Dotson and Jones are tied for the leading scorer with an 8.5 points-per-game average and Jameica Cobb average 6.9 ppg. Alexandria Johnson averages 5.2 rebounds per game to lead the team.

Dotson is second in the SWAC with a .474 Field Goal percentage. McKee (3.9 assists per game) and Jones (3.2 assists per game) are ranked fourth and eighth in the SWAC in that category.

SCOUTING THE LADY BISONS
This is the second time the two teams have met in the Division I era, with the series split evenly at 1-1. During the last matchup, A&M won 72-54 at home.
The Lady Bisons are coming off of a 92-82 loss against Vanderbilt in their last outing. Loren Cagle leads the team with 17.3 points per game and 4.5 rebounds per game. The Bulldogs and the Lady Bison have shared four opponents this season: Alabama, Murray State, Austin Peay, and Tennessee State.
