Medina strong in goal but Lady Bulldogs fall at USC Upstate

GREENVILLE, S.C. -- A&M's Jodi Medina is getting a baptism under fire - literally - in NCAA Division I soccer.

Against USC Upstate on Sunday, the freshman goalkeeper turned away 10 shots. However, it wasn't enough as the Lady Bulldogs lost 1-0.

The Spartans (1-2-0) fired 27 shots but just 11 were on goal while Alexus Lawson had the lone shot for A&M (0-3-0).

Against The Citadel on Friday, Medina had nine saves in a 1-0 loss.

The Lady Bulldogs will host Austin Peay next Sunday at 1 p.m.
