BATON ROUGE, La.—The Alabama A&M University men's and women's tennis teams hit the road this weekend for the Southwestern Athletic Conference Roundup at Southern University in Baton Rouge, LA.
The Alabama A&M (0-2) men are hoping for their first win this weekend after falling to Alabama State, 0-4, on Feb. 18. The Bulldogs will open the Roundup Friday against Arkansas-Pine Bluff (0-10) at 2 p.m. and then they will face Mississippi Valley (0-8) at 5 p.m.
On the last day of the Roundup, The Bulldogs will face Prairie View A&M (0-11) at 9 a.m. and then will conclude play when they take on Southern at 2 p.m. Saturday.
The Lady Bulldogs (0-2) are also looking for their first victory after falling to Alabama State, 0-5. The Lady Bulldogs will open the Roundup Friday afternoon against Arkansas-Pine Bluff (0-4) at 2 p.m. They will then face Mississippi Valley (0-8) at 5 p.m.
The Lady Bulldogs will open play Saturday morning against Prairie View A&M (0-10) at 9 a.m. and their final match of the Roundup will be at 2 p.m. Saturday against Southern (0-5).
The teams match against UAPB on Friday will be played at Forest Park Tennis Center and then they will move to Independence Park to face MVSU. On Saturday, they will play PVAMU at Independence Park and will wrap up at Southern University Courts against Southern.
