ATLANTA, Ga. – After a very successful season and being crowned regular season champions of the Southwestern Athletic Conference, Alabama A&M volleyball has earned a bid to the National Invitational Volleyball Championship. The Lady Bulldogs will be in the field with Georgia Tech, Troy and North Carolina A&T in the opening round, facing off against the hosting Yellow Jackets on Friday, Dec. 6 at 7 p.m.
 
The tournament is a single-elimination event with all games played at the sites of host schools. The eight host schools include Bowling Green, Colgate, Liberty, Long Beach State, South Dakota, UT-Arlington and Wyoming along with the games scheduled at Georgia Tech.
 
The Lady Bulldogs finished their season with a 20-14 record, their second consecutive 20-win season. A&M's 15-4 record in the SWAC was good for first place, after a preseason projection of a second place finish in the conference. It marked the second straight first place regular season finish in conference play.
 
Friday night's match will be streamed on the ACC Network, with live stats available via the Georgia Tech StatBroadcast link, posted above.

Troy and North Carolina A&T will face off in the match before at 4 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 6, with the winners of Friday's matches scheduled to face off in the second round on Saturday, Dec. 7 at 7 p.m.
