Box Score MONTOGMERY — A late-inning rally was not enough for Alabama A&M.

Backed into a corner in the rubber match of a Southwestern Athletic Conference series, Alabama A&M charged back late.
But, it was too little, too late.

Terrell McCall recorded the save as Alabama State held off rival Alabama A&M 6-5 Sunday afternoon in Game 3 of a SWAC baseball series.

Alabama State took the series 2-1.

Alabama A&M (5-17, 5-4 in SWAC) trailed by six after six innings, but rallied for five runs in the top of the seventh. The Bulldogs never were able to push across the game-tying run.

Dillon Roop drove in a pair of runs on two hits for Alabama A&M.
