Alabama A&M Falls in Final Match of Wofford Tournament

SPARTANSBURG, SC __ Alabama A&M dropped its final volleyball match Saturday morning at the Wofford Tournament, falling in a sweep against MEAC opponent North Carolina A&T 15-25, 15-25, 20-25, at the Richardson Indoor Stadium.
 
The Lady Bulldogss (4-6) struggled offensively against North Carolina A&T (2-8) as they finished with a .180 attack percentage, the third lowest of the season. The Aggies played well above the net with nine team blocks. 
 
Junior Megan Evans, a Houston native, turned in her second consecutive double-double with a match-high 25 assists and 12 digs. Twin sister Maya Evans added seven kills, while sophomore Alana Cox added six. 
 
Sophomore Maci Battle also chipped in with eight digs as the Lady Bulldogs finished with totals of 32 kills on 39 assists, while having 37 digs on the defensive end. 
 
UP NEXT
Alabama A&M will play in their home opener, hosting Middle Tennessee State on Tuesday, Sept. 17, at Elmore Gymnasium. The 6 o'clock p.m. tip-off is scheduled as a "Maroon Out."
