MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Alabama A&M competed in their last tournament of the year at the ISTAP Hornet Bowling Classic from November 19-21, finishing 8-of-9 with a 159.9 pin fall average over the course of nine matches.
The Bulldogs went 3-6 in those qualifying matches, notching a pinfall total of 7,967 in 10 games, putting them in the No.8 matchup on the final day of the tournament.
In that one A&M won 1,

Individually, Tamyra Long led the way for the Bulldogs, finishing 9-of-63 with a pinfall average of 185.60, while junior
Nariya Jackson (Fort Wayne, Ind.) finished 22-of-63 with a pinfall average of 171.00 and game-high of 210. Andreana Jones finished 30
th with an average of 155.40 and a high of 180. Junior
Montaya Walton (Detroit, Mich.) followed closely behind in 32
nd with an average 150.00 and a game high of 165.
No.11 Louisiana Tech would take home the tournament title with host Alabama State taking second spot over Tusculum in third and Emmanuel College finishing fourth.
The Bulldogs will be back in action on January 14 -16 at the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) West Regionals in in Dallas, Texas.
