HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Alabama A&M men's (0-0, 0-0 SWAC) and women's tennis (0-0, 0-0 SWAC) return to action as they head to Macon, Georgia for matches against Mercer (
M: 0-1, 0-0 SoCon,
W: 0-2, 0-0 SoCon) on Saturday, January 29.
The Bulldogs women come into the new year following a 5-7 overall mark and 4-3 record in Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) play while the men were 6-7 overall and 4-1 in league play. They would go on to win a pair of thrilling 4-3 matches in the SWAC Tournament to win their first league crown and earn a berth in the NCAA Division I Tournament.
Mercer's women, meanwhile, have dropped their first two matches, falling 6-1 at Stetson (1/21) and 4-3 at Florida State (1/23) with the men losing 6-1 at Southeastern Conference (SEC) member Alabama (1/15).
Both matches will take place at the LeRoy Peddy Tennis Center with first serve set for 10 a.m. Central.
